What we don’t keep
A plain explanation of photographs, guest access and the details Capsule stores.
Your photographs belong to the people who took them. Capsule stores them to develop and share the film with its participants.
No model training or face recognition
We do not train models on your photographs, captions or film metadata. Capsule does not run face recognition. You can browse photographs by who took them.
How a guest keeps their place
A guest gives camera permission and a name for the film. A key on their device keeps their place. They return to the same app or browser to see the developed film; we do not email the roll.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may also provide your name and email address. Your device remembers your language choice. If you allow iPhone notifications, Capsule stores a push token and your selected language to send those notifications.
Keep your own copy
Free films may be deleted 30 days after development under our terms. Automatic deletion is not currently active. Paid films stay until you delete them. Download your photos after the reveal to keep your own copy.
